Travelling

German Sport UniversityAm Sportpark Müngersdorf 650933 Köln.

The German Sport University is located close to two important airports. Dusseldorf airport (all major airlines) is as close as 30 minutes using regional trains to Cologne Central Station. This station can be reached from Cologne airport (large number of low cost carriers) within ten minutes by local train.

From Cologne Central Station there are frequent means of public transportation to the German Sport University (bus, tram) that take around 20 to 25 minutes to the campus. The easiest way will be to take tram line 16 or 18 from the Central Station to Neumarkt (direction Bonn) and then tram line 1 to Junkersdorf Sporthochschule (direction Weiden). At the station you will be guided to the conference venue.

Accommodation

The GSU will organize accommodations in different categories for regular conference attendants.

Regular fee

First category: The superior hotel is located in the district of Cologne-Junkersdorf (24/7 service; rooms are air conditioned, have WIFI and cable television; breakfast is included). The conference location is about 1km away and can be reached easily by walking or tram (1 station).

Second category: The superior hotel is located in the district of cologne-Marsdorf (24/7 service; rooms are air conditioned, have WIFI and cable television; breakfast is included; indoor leisure facilities (heated swimming pool/sauna)). The conference location is about 3 km away and can be reached by car in 5-10 minutes or by tram in 30min.

Student Fee

Guest House: The guesthouse is located on the campus of GSU and is an 2-star hotel. The guesthouse has an 24/7 service, the rooms have a centrally controlled air condition and cable television, WIFI is also available (3€ /24h).

WiFi

Free WiFi will be available for all guests at the conference.
