Beschreibung
Planet Citizen is a non-profit organization based in Paris Region. We have an innovative method combining physical activity and language teaching for elementary schools students.
Our European volunteer assist elementary school teacher in underserved areas north of Paris (France) and conduct sessions allowing children to learn languages (English, German, etc.) in a fun and active way.
We are now looking for new volunteer to conduct an 8 months European Solidarity Corps starting on 13th January 2025, until 31st August 2025 .
THE VOLUNTEERING MISSION
The mission is for any European from 18 to 30 years old passionate about coaching young people, with good communication skills. No previous experience is required.
While always teaming up with elementary school teachers and Planet Citizens staff, the volunteer will be tasked with the following missions:
* Assist teachers in local elementary schools (6-11 years old pupils) in preparing and conducting lessons combining Physical Activities and language teaching.
* Create opportunities for pupils to practice English (or German) during PE lessons
* Get involved in the development of our pedagogical method
* Get involved in the local community
DURATION
January - August 2025
Maximum amplitude of 35 hours a week
ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT
- The volunteer will share a flat with 2 other Planet Citizens volunteers in Saint-Denis, Paris Region
- Accommodation, travel to France, Travel card costs are covered
COMPENSATION
As part of a European Solidarity Corps mission, the volunteer gets a monthly €400 compensation fee.
