Dr. Ben Sanders, senior consultant in sport for development and peace, gives an impression on current developments and attempts on reshaping sport and development. Through his cooperation with various stakeholders in the field, such as the International Platform on Sport and Development www.sportanddev.org, the Commonwealth Secretariat, UNODC or FIFA, he will share first-hand experiences and insights into current developments, which can be particularly enriching for those working in and interested in the field of sport and development.  

 

Women's Human Rights and Gender Equality in the Context of Sport and Sustainable Development, Dr. Marianne Meier

Dr. Marianne Meier is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Bern with a focus on sport and gender studies. Through her theoretical and practical experience in research and in working with different actors, she will provide deeper insights into the connection between women's human rights and sport. This guest lecture will be of particular interest to people interested in gender issues, but also to people who want to better understand the potential of sport.
