Project presentation in NRW Parliament Sports Committee

Together with the German Sport & Olympia Museum, we presented our project "People in the Ruhr sports region - contemporary witness project on sports development in North Rhine" in the Parliament's Sport Comittee of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) on October, 6th,

In order to ensure the long-term preservation of the sports cultural heritage, around 30-50 life-historical video interviews with (former) active and responsible persons in sports are conducted and digitally archived. The material is processed and indexed so that it can be used in the long term for purposes of science, education, museums and culture. This ensures that the memories and knowledge about sport in the Ruhr Area and in NRW remain alive in the cultural memory of the region.

The project is funded by the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia.
