9th ICSSPE Seminar" Communities and Crisis – Inclusive Development through Sport"

ICSSPE will host the 9th edition of “Communities and Crisis – Inclusive Development through Sport“ in Rheinsberg (near Berlin) , from 30th October until 5th November 2016.

Welcome Meeting Master-DEV at 13.10.2016

The Welcome Meeting for all students of the new Master-DEV starts on Thursday, 13th. Oct. 2016 at 3.00pm in the Senatssaal in IG2.

Study conference of Master-DEV on 12.10.2016

The new Master Program starts in the winter term 2016/17 opening with a study conference of the teaching staff. The conference takes place on 12th. Oct. 2016 in the Senatssaal.

Visiting EASA

Europa-Union Deutschland and the IESF visited EASA, the European Aviation Safety Agency in Cologne.

Office Hour Time between Terms

During the time between terms the office of the Institute of European Sport Development and Leisure Studies are as follows:

Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 12.30pm

The office is closed on Fridays.

Book presentation: Der Bürger und Gewerkschafter Ludwig Rosenberg

On Thursday, 1st. September 2016, Frank Ahland's book "Der Bürger und Gewerkschafter Ludwig Rosenberg (1903 bis 1977) will be officially presentated in the Bochum at the Haus der Geschichte des Ruhrgebietes. The presentation starts at 6.00pm, the entrance is free.

IESF coordinates delegation of trainer and officials from Taiwan in August 2016

A delegation of 15 officials and trainers from Taiwan visit from 31.7.-6.8.2016 the German Sport University for training as well as at the Landesleistungsstützpunkt Fencing in Solingen. The IESF coordinates the training.

Summer closure IESF

From Thursday, 28th July 2016 until Wednesday, 3rd August 2016 the office of the Institute of European Sport Development and Leisure Studies will be closed due to holiday.

"Experience Europe" at the German Sport University

50 pupils from school around Cologne "experienced Europe" at the German Sport University. During the meeting with "Bürger Europas e.V." they got an insight on Sport Politic of the European Union.

From Theory to Practice

The further education seminar, „Theory, Policy Framework and M & E in the Field of Sport and Development", took place for the first time between June 24th and 26th 2016. Featuring ten participants from Germany, Canada and Italy, they gained profound theoretical knowledge on good practices within the Sport for Development field.
