Project description

With the project "FC in Bewegung", 1.FC Köln participates in the cooperation project "Bundesliga bewegt" of the DFL Foundation and the clubs of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. The aim of the project is to counteract the lack of exercise among children and young people in Germany. To accomplish this, access to physical activity opportunities in the direct environment of the children and young people is developed.

As part of the project, the Institute for European Sports Development and Leisure Research, in cooperation with the 1.FC Köln Foundation, is developing an exercise manual. The manual combines physical activity offers with sustainability education. The aspects of sustainability education are based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The handbook is addressed to educators and trainers and serves as a guide for conducting physical activity units with a focus on the topic of sustainability.
