Nature Sport provides for researchers exciting questions: How do new outdoor disciplines affect on endangered species? How can sport and exercise be used for sustainable education of young people? What actions can solve conflicts of interest in naturesport-areas?

Such issues require multidisciplinary expertise, experience and both scientific and ecological as well as social and humanistic methods and theories. The Institute of Outdoor Sports and Environmental Science therefore has a wide expertise in different disciplines such as biology, forestry, tourism, sociology or geography. The intensive cooperation between the individual members of a research team creates holistic knowledge to answer complex questions and leads projects to practical and innovative results.
