Olympic Chair Henri de Baillet Latour & Jacques Rogge

Professor Stephan Wassong has been invited as Visiting Professor to the endowed Olympic Chair Henri Baillet Latour & Jacques Rogge at the Université Catholique de Louvain. This guest professorship is awarded annually to an internationally recognised scholar within the field of the Olympic Movement. During his stay at the university in Louvain-la-Neuve from 15 to 22 April 2018, Professor Wassong lectured, amongst others, in Master and PhD courses about his current research topics that deal with the Athletes` Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the IOC governance guidelines in the global fight against doping. Furthermore, Professor Wassong worked together with Professor Thierry Zintz, who holds the endowed chair, on the final version of a project proposal that will be forwarded via the IOC Olympic Education Commission to the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage.
