Stephan Wassong met Michael Mronz

Stephan Wassong had the opportunity to meet Michael Mronz (Germany), who has been elected a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the 141st IOC session in Mumbai (India) on 17th October 2023.

In addition to his Olympic responsibilities, Mr. Mronz is a highly successful sport and sport event manager on the national and international level. In the meeting, Stephan Wassong informed Michael Mronz on the profile of the M.A. Olympic Studies, its support by the IOC and the scholarships offered by Olympic Solidarity since 2012.

Mr. Mronz showed much interest in the international reputation and visibility of the programme as well as in the teaching and research activities of the Olympic Study Centre of the German Sport University Cologne and its long-standing connection to the OSC of the IOC.
