Award ceremony for the Deutschlandstipendium

The Deutschlandstipendium provides financial and non-material support to high-achieving and committed students from all over the world. To allow successful and financially secure studies for excellent students the German Sport University Cologne is participating in the Deutschlandstipendium since 2011.

On the 14th of November, once again 22 students were awarded with this scholarship at the Playa in Cologne. Although one of the scholarship holders, Fabian Hambüchen, couldn´t be there to receive his certificate, he did send a sincere `Thank You` via video to the committee, all patrons & sponsors.

Amongst the 22 scholarship holders are also two international students, who now have the opportunity to secure their further studies with the Deutschlandstipendium:

• Ms. Polina Kudriavsteva - M.Sc. Sport Management
• Mr. Mouhamadou Sissoko - M.Ed. Teacher Training

A special thanks to the various sponsors who are willing to support these students every year with a significant financial aid. Besides private persons who are connected to the GSU since a long time, the FC. Köln, the German Telekom AG, the Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH, Fujitsu Technology Solutions, the association of Friends and sponsors of the German Sport University, Playa in Cologne, the Ärzte-Wirtschaftszentrum Köln, the Kliniken Bad Neuenahr, SpoHo-Net and the Augencentrum Köln are part of this group.
