Important information for applicants
Due to the current situation, the German Sport University Cologne is changing its application and admission procedure for the coming winter semester 2020/21.
Due to current events, the practical aptitude test (aptitude test) planned for June cannot take place. Also the catch-up date initially planned for September cannot be carried out due to the currently valid regulations.
In order to do justice to all prospective students and to be able to show a perspective, the President´s Office of the German Sport University Cologne has decided on the following regulation:
Both the application for a study place and the admission is possible without the proof of the aptitude test! In case of such an admission without the aptitude test, the successful completion of the aptitude test has to be proven at the next possible date - presumably February 2021.
In this case, registration is subject to reservation. If the aptitude test is not handed in at the next possible date, there will be no re-registration for the continuation of studies. However, study and examination credits earned up to that date will be retained and can be recognised when you re-enrol.
If the aptitude test cannot take place in the spring of 2021, students who were enrolled without aptitude test certificate with reservations can still re-register for the summer semester 2021. Whether or how the proof of aptitude test has to be provided or made up for in this case will be decided in due course.
Applicants who have a valid proof of the aptitude test can participate in the application and admission procedure as usual.
Both groups will be considered equally in the allocation procedure, so that equal opportunities for all applicants are guaranteed.
The application deadlines for the five Bachelor's programmes in sports science and for the teacher-training Bachelor's and Master's programmes start on 01.07.2020 and end on 20.08.2020.
