Summer Olympic Sports Federations support the M.A. Olympic Studies.

During the celebration of the traditional Olympic Day on June 23 in Lausanne, Prof. Stephan Wassong had the opportunity to meet Francesco Ricci Bitti, President of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF). ASOIF is the umbrella organization of all international sports federations represented in the Summer Olympic Games programme. The meeting was an opportunity to present the international advanced studies programme M.A. Olympic Studies to the ASOIF president in detail. Mr. Ricci Bitti, who is also an IOC member since 2006, showed great interest in the degree programme, whose international profile as a lifelong learning opportunity he greatly appreciated. In the coming years, the ASOIF will specifically promote the M.A. program to international sports federations. Prof. Wassong sees this as a great success, through which the study program as well as the Olympic Study Centre of the German Sport University Cologne will further strengthen their profile.
