You can now apply for the Deutschlandstipendium HERE. The application period runs until September 15, 2024. Unfortunately, applications submitted after this date cannot be considered.

Notes on the application:

1. please click on the link and complete the application form in one go, as the data cannot be saved temporarily. Before the final submission, you have the opportunity to check your data again and correct it if necessary. Your attachments do not need to be uploaded here.

2. after submitting, you will receive a confirmation of receipt email with an upload link for your supporting documents (only PDFs with a maximum of 1.5 MB per document), which you must upload within the application deadline. If you do not submit the required documents before the application deadline, your application will be deemed not to have been submitted. An exception to this is the late submission of the certificate of enrollment for applicants who have informed us in advance.

3. the application is considered complete when you have filled out the form in full, the supporting documents have been uploaded and you have not heard from us again. In case of ambiguities/incompleteness, we will inform you before the deadline.

4. please avoid sending the application form more than once, as we have to check all applications from the same applicants due to the very high workload involved in multiple applications.

If you have any questions or problems with the application form, please send an email to: .

Please check in advance whether you meet the eligibility criteria for the Deutschlandstipendium in general. Click here for the eligibility criteria and the guidelines of the GSU (DSHS) Cologne. The guidelines also clearly define the eligibility criteria for competitive athletes, for example.

Important: Since the winter semester 2022/23, national squad athletes have had the opportunity to apply for the NRW Sports Foundation Scholarship. You can find more information here.

  • If applicable, notification of admission for a study place for WS 24/25 (only for first-year students); applicants for a Master's programme should submit their notification of admission upon receipt.
